Cooling System

Often neglected service on many vehicles is the maintenance of the cooling system. In general BMW recommends that you flush and clean your vehicles cooling system once every 36 months or every three years. A properly maintained cooling system must have a few things for proper operation. An adequate supply of coolant, a radiator that acts as a heat exchanger with the outside air, a fan or flow source, a water pump to keep up circulation and a thermostat to regulate the engine at its optimum operating temperature. The coolant must also have the correct mixture and chemical compound to promote heat transfer, protect against freezing and also inhibit corrosion.

Our professional BMW A/C repair and maintenance team can check to ensure your vehicles A/C system is running at peak performance. Diagnosing and repairing all of your concerns from warm air blowing through the vents to none at all, our trained technicians will isolate and repair your BMW’s air condition system with confidence and care.

One of the most important services is replacing your engine oil and filter. Frequent oil changes are vital to prolonging the life of your engine. Even though BMW recommends oil change intervals that are very far apart, we highly recommend that you replace your engine oil every 8,000-10,000 km’s or at least twice a year if you’re not reaching the mileage. The professional team at S&S Motors can give you their expert advice and keep you on a proper maintenance schedule to keep your BMW happy and healthy.

PCV / Breather System

This system assures only clean, filtered air is drawn in to the engine. A clogged system prevents the PCV System from siphoning away the blow by gases and moisture created by engine combustion resulting in oil break down and sludge build up. Blockage will cause all sorts of engine misfires and rough running.

Tune Up

Tune up is an old fashioned maintenance term that’s nearly non-existent today. With electronic ignition and fuel injection, came computers that look over engine control settings. Today’s engine requires advanced diagnostic equipment and training for proper isolation and repair. Proper maintenance is always the best route for peak performance and longevity.
